Abstract

Recent studies have shown that a vector sensor can serve as a multichannel receiver in underwater communication systems. Here we propose a method to transmit data via the recently introduced underwater particle velocity channels, using a vector dipole sensor. System and channel equations are derived, and system performance results are presented. The results show the possibility of data transmission using a vector sensor in these new channels.
